On Saturday 20th September 2014 Beech Gardeners are putting on a new Beech Village Show – a fresh initiative open to all in Beech. Show your home-grown fruit, vegetables and flowers and win 1st, 2nd or highly-commended certificates – or even BEST ENTRY IN SHOW.
There is a variety of classes for photography, painting, poetry, home-made food, textiles, several children’s classes and a SCARECROW COMPETITION.
The children’s classes are open to residents of Beech and also children from Bentworth School.
The Show opens at 11.30 am but exhibits need to be brought to the Beech Village Hall between 9.0 and 10.15 am on that day.
There will be 32 classes of entry and some especially for children, although they are welcome to challenge the adults in any class!!
You may enter all 32 classes if you wish but each person has to use their own entry form. Entries cost 25p each and only one entry may be made in each class per person. Entry forms must be submitted and entries paid for by Friday 12th September.
Judging will take place between 10.30 and 11.30 am and all exhibits should have your name on, but not visible to the judges (say, on a small card that can be placed face down on the display tables). Where possible the varieties of home-grown produce should be named to assist the judges.
