Community Spirit and Communication continues apace in the Parish of the Resurrection, Alton with our New Vicar, Andrew Mickelfield and the ministry team. St Peter’s church may be small but we all play a part on this journey.
A New Service Pattern has been proposed for each month in 2015 (subject to changes) and we will continue to welcome everyone to all of these services.
- First Sunday – Café Style Pilgrim Course – 9 .15 am
This will be a discussion based service using new Church of England study materials called The Pilgrim Course. There will be some worship at the beginning and the end with a couple of hymns. Drinks and croissants (or something similar) will be served as part of the time together. - Second Sunday – All age Communion – 9.15 am
- Third Sunday – All age Communion – 9.15 am
- Fourth Sunday – Songs of Praise – 5.00 pm
This is self-explanatory for all to have a good sing interspersed with prayers. An opportunity to invite people to a service which is accessible and enjoyable. - Fifth Sunday – Altogether service in the Parish – 10am or 10.30am
From Andrew…
“It may take a time for these changes to settle down and despite careful planning there will inevitably be some unforeseen issues or bumps on the way. Our intention is to review and if we need to we will make further changes if they will improve our Sundays………We are all part of an exciting parish and we have so much to be thankful to God for and rejoice about.
With my love and prayers for a New Year…….
Andrew”
