Traditionally, summer Socials in Beech are normally less well attended than winter ones as may villagers are on holiday. But on 31st July over 70 people came for the BBQ, which started early to encourage families with young children to attend.
It was a lovely evening so tables were put up in the car park and on the Green. We had catered for 50, so it was a bit like the loaves and the fishes! But only a few latecomers found themselves without food – many apologies to you folks!
The next village Social is on Friday 28th August and will be back to the usual start time of 7.30pm. Hope to see you there!
