Over a hundred villagers and guests joined in the ever-popular quiz evening in October. After a hard-fought contest between 13 teams, lucky table number 13 calling themselves the ‘Square root of 81’ emerged the winners. This brainy bunch was led by Ed Short, who was presented with the winners cup by Quizmaster John Bembridge. A lot of fun was had by all, with real ale sales contributing to to a very successful night for the Hall. It couldn’t have happened without all the work put in by the Bembridge crew, and special thanks also go to the Bakers who made their debut appearance on the bar.
