The Parish is adapting to the restrictions of lockdown, and to the severity of the transmission of the virus, in how it is offering worship. Along with most parish churches in the UK, the PCC reluctantly decided to suspend live services. We will reopen as soon as it is safe, but until then we would encourage you to join in with either parish or diocesan online provision or national programmes such as Songs of Praise.
Please keep yourself and others safe during these weeks, so that we can all worship, work and be together again soon. If you or anyone near you feels lonely or isolated and would like a doorstep visit or chat on the phone, please contact me or a member of the clergy.
You will see that scaffolding has been erected at St Peters to undertake repairs to the roof and bellcote. This is part of an ongoing programme of works and funding is tight. I hope we don’t have to call on you to support the works but if you feel you would like to support ongoing building and repairs at St Peters please contact me.
As soon as we are able to, St Peter’s members will return to regularly worship in our church building and assist with cleaning, arranging flowers, reading lessons and prayers. We are always looking for new volunteers, so do please consider this and contact us if you would like to find out more. We look forward to welcoming you as we continually look at refreshing the way we worship and work together as a community.
Pre Covid – Lunch Club – Second Monday of the Month in the Village Hall. Numbers for this hover between 25 and 35. When we are up and running again, please be sure to book with Gill Scott or myself before you come.
