Some 60 Beech residents and visitors enjoyed a Murder Mystery evening at Beech Village Hall on Saturday 11th February. A cast of eight guests selected from the audience took part in the three Act play entitled “Who Killed the Hotel Manager?” set at the Primrose Glade Hotel (2 stars) in Bilge on Sea, a northern seaside resort. The evening culminated with the arrest of one person for the murder and another as his accomplice.
A curry supper provided by Atul’s Indian Restaurant at Four Marks Golf Club was served during the first interval and a fruit salad dessert in the second. The prize winners who correctly identified the murderer and his accomplice, together with the most relevant explanation were Richard & Helen visiting Beech from Heathfield in Sussex, who won a meal for two kindly provided by the Castle of Comfort public house in Medstead.
The evening was organised and presented by Peter Frost and Sue Willson on behalf of Castle of Comfort Productions and was thoroughly enjoyed by those attending.
