Our village hall was inundated with budding Masterminders when Peter Cox held his annual Quiz Night on Saturday 5th April. With questions on a range of subjects and from different eras, the brains were taxed to the full!
The event was attended by 76 people of varying ages and varying knowledge as denoted by the scores, but the clincher was the music lyrics paper which sorted the wheat from the chaff!
At half time, a delivery of Fish and Chips from Kingfishers in Alton arrived prompt, hot and very needed. The wining table received a small prize and the prestigious Challenge Cup and the losing table a consolation prize! As there was only one point between the first and second placed tables, I must offer my congratulations to them too.
Well done again, and many thanks to everyone who took part and for such wonderful support. Huge thanks to Peter for arranging the quiz again (with a little help from me) and big thanks to Elaine and Alan for running the bar as efficiently as always. Hope to see you all at the next quiz on 11th October!
